Friends - first off, you don’t know what it means to me to have you support my Just Get Started mission. I was a complacent, lazy, and undisciplined man as I crested my 30s and had no idea what that decade would hold for me.

🎂 Now, 2 weeks shy of my 41st birthday I have to be proud of my transformation. It wasn’t easy and it wasn’t quick but it was worth it. It’s proof that when we control our decisions they start to build a foundation for a meaningful life.

→ The question to ask yourself is “What type of life do I want?”

Then, get after it through those daily micro-decisions that add up over time.

It won’t be easy. It won’t be quick. But it’s worth it when you see how far you’ve come.

→ One of the challenges with being an ambitious person is that I want to do everything. Every new idea that pops up can be exciting and sometimes the starting of a project can elicit those creative juices and a new wave of energy.

Do you feel that way too?

But, my word of the year is Intentional so I have to lean into more focused effort and work on the most important projects that lead me down the path to the life I want.

I can’t do everything and I have to be okay with that.

That’s why I’ve made a BIG decision.

I am hitting pause on the Sunday Starter Newsletter. It’s a tough decision as I love writing this and sharing advice that can help others get started. But I must focus on other areas that call my attention as there is only so much time to divvy up.

Just Get Started Podcast 

In year 7, I’m more energized than ever. I’ve had some amazing interviews recently and even started to do some “in-person” interviews which were electric. We are getting focused on deeper conversations around the mental hurdles of starting to help others overcome those early challenges and keep moving forward.

3rd Children’s Book is Launching! 

My new book, “My Best Friend Fred” is completed and I’m putting together the launch plan. I am going to do a Kickstarter campaign and then officially launch the book on August 8th, 2024 which also happens to be my Mom’s Birthday 😊

Besides these projects, my 11-year-old is keeping me very busy and I know the time I have with him is precious so I’ve been prioritizing this even more. I’ve also committed to several athletic events this year; a Spartan Race, Tar Heel 10-miler, and City of Oaks Full Marathon.
